Twitches

Sister, Sister actresses Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley star in this awesome Disney Channel original movie! The two girls play teen witches—Apolla and Artemis—who are separated at birth. The twins meet on their 21st birthday and realize that they must use their powers to save the world where they were originally born. I mean really, what’s better than early 2000s Tia and Tamera? You definitely HAVE to add this to your Halloween movie watch list.

Halloweentown

Who could forget Marnie, Dylan, and Sophie?! For kids who grew up in the late 80s and early 90s, Halloweentown was the go-to Disney movie. Starring Debbie Reynolds and Kimberly J. Brown, the Disney Channel original movie is about 3 children who travel to Halloweentown and learn to defeat evil forces. From the time I was 5 to the time I was 13, I watched the movie (and it’s sequels, of course!) religiously each year. So if you haven’t seen Halloweentown for a few years, we think it’s high time to watch it again!

Hocus Pocus

Watching Hocus Pocus every single year (or even 2, 3, or 10 times a year) is a totally acceptable ritual! Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy play three witch sisters who are resurrected on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts. The trio does an absolutely PHENOMENAL job of portraying the three witches; their comedic timing is hilarious their hair, makeup, and costumes are flawless, and their slight creepiness is perfect.
