That Ironic Moment When A Tree Was Planted In A Beatle’s Honor…Then Destroyed By Beetles

Yes, the George Harrison Tree was killed by beetles.

Next to Los Angeles’s Griffith Park Observatory once lived a pine tree, planted in honor of George Harrison. The tree was planted in 2004 with a plaque in the Beatle’s memory, after his unfortunate death in 2001. The tree is being replanted after reports say an infestation of insects—yes, including beetles, have destroyed the original plant. All things must pass!
