Derek Jeter May Be Retired Now, But He’ll Never Leave The Hearts Of Yankees Fans
Derek Jeter’s career may finally be over, but he received one last tribute last Sunday night.
The Empire State Building lit up in Yankees blue and white along with a scrolling No. 2 underneath the antenna to honor the Captain after his 20-year career came to an end Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park.
Jeter ended his career with an infield single in the third inning of the Yankees’ 9-5 win over the Red Sox.
He was honored before the game amongst other great Boston athletes and was presented with his final set of gifts.
