My best friend just graduated from law school and even she didn’t know about many of these extremely unusual laws. Some are so ridiculous that they probably won’t even be enforced in this day and age. When you read some of these laws you won’t help but ask the question “Why was this made illegal?” Here are some of the ludicrous laws that will make you scratch your head and giggle at the same time:
1. Riding a bicycle in a pool is illegal in California.
2. In Utah, it’s illegal to carry a violin in a paper bag walking down the street.
3. In New York, it’s against the law for a person to jump off a building and the punishment is a death sentence.
4. In Maine, tickling a woman under the chin with a feather duster is illegal.
5. It’s illegal for kids in Texas to have “unusual” haircuts.
6. It’s illegal in Florida to fart in public after six o’clock in the evening on Sundays.
7. In the state of Alabama, it’s illegal for people to carry around an ice cream cone in their back pocket at all times.
8. It’s illegal to serve apple pie in restaurants without cheese in Wisconsin.
9. In Connecticut, a pickle isn’t a pickle unless it bounces.
10. In Hawaii, it is against the law to place coins in another persons’ ears.
11. It’s illegal to serve wine in teacups in Kansas.
12. In Oregon, you can’t test your physical endurance while driving on the highway.
13. In Delaware, pants that are form-fitting around the waist are illegal.
14. Hollow logs are illegal in Tennessee.
15. It’s illegal in Rhode Island to wear see-through clothing.
16. In Louisiana a woman’s husband has to wave a flag in front of her car before she can drive it anywhere.
