Like something straight out of a fairy tale, there are flowers that exist among us called Diphylleia grayi (aka Skeleton Flower) whose white petals become transparent when raindrops touch down on them.

As rain falls down on the plant, the flower’s petals gradually shift in opacity.
The beautiful, natural phenomenon turns the white petals into semi-transparent versions of themselves.
It’s almost as if they’re made of glass!
These exquisite plants are found in the colder, mountainous regions of China and Japan and prefer to grow in the shade. Their flowers tend to blossom from May to July and while the petals may lose their opacity when wet, their white color returns when they have dried.
