Kristen Bell And Straight No Chaser Release A Witty (And Hilarious!) Holiday Song

Technology and social media have all but ruined meaningful communication these days. It’s become rare for people to call or send a letter, instead relying on a text or Facebook message to send their well wishes. So that’s why Straight No Chaser and Kristen Bell have come together to ask that we all “Text Me Merry Christmas” in their witty and entertaining holiday song.

“This holiday / You’ll be far away /And I’ll be all alone,” the Frozen actress sings at the start of the song. “So please remember / This December / To fully charge your phone.”

The A cappella group then comes in to provide the backing harmonizing on the second verse before Michael Luginbill takes the lead. “Text me Merry Christmas / Make my holiday complete / Though you’re far from me / Say you’ll brb / That’s a text I’ll never delete.”

“We wanted a Christmas song that spoke to how informal communication has become,” SNC’s Randy Stine tells RyanSeacrest.com. “As soon as we heard the first demo it was apparent that it had to be a duet … the only voice we heard singing this was Kristen Bell and she nailed every note and delivered the lyrics with the perfect comedic tone. We were hanging on her every word … when we weren’t looking at our phones.”

This duet between Kristen Bell and Straight No Chaser turned out to be absolutely AWESOME! You can check it out in the video above.
