If The Old Rubik’s Cube Wasn’t Challenging Enough, There’s Now A New 3D Puzzle With Over 1,000 Squares!
Rubik’s Cubes have long been the ultimate challenge for those who enjoy solving puzzles. But thanks to Brando, a company that makes everything from mini helicopters to leather dog muzzles, that’s no longer the case. In fact, the company’s newest invention makes the Rubik’s Cube look like child’s play.
Dubbed the “Pillow 13x13x13 IQ Brick,” Brando’s new 3D puzzle is essentially a Rubik’s Cube for those who crave even more of a challenge. The puzzle boasts 169 colored squares on each of its six faces, equaling a mind-boggling 1,014 squares in total. For comparison, the traditional cube only has nine squares per face.
The goal, like a Rubik’s Cube, is to match up the squares so each face on the block contains only one color. According to Brando, the Pillow helps to train both the left and right brain functions and can improve the user’s IQ.
The company also claims the Pillow works to improve a user’s emotional intelligence (perhaps because attempting to solve the puzzle will force someone to face frustration on a level never before experienced). At $320, the “fun” toy is a splurge intended for only the most dedicated puzzle solvers. Perhaps try one of Brando’s other cube creations — like the 10x10x10 IQ Brick or the Uneven 3x3x9 IQ Brick before attempting to tackle this one.
The Pillow is the next level up from the original Rubik’s Cube, which was invented in 1974.
It has 1,014 tiles in total.
The point is to make each face contain only one color.
Good luck with that.
