Awesome Woman Making History
On Tuesday August 5th, WNBA star Becky Hammon was hired as the first full-time female NBA coach in history. Some teams had been pursuing the possibility of a female head coach in the near future, but Hammon claims the historic moment as she will be the new full-time assistant coach for the champion San Antonio Spurs as soon as this WNBA season concludes. Not just any team, the consistently excellent Spurs have always been team-oriented and progressive, and are known for their dynasty of coaches and players. Hammon will have the honor of working side by side with legendary Gregg Popovich, and may set a new standard for years to come. Congratulations to her!
