A New Look At The Homeless Community
Today, August 19th, is World Humanitarian Day. Amid many other hot-button charities, let’s not forget that there are also people right on our own streets that could use a hand! Homelessness is an epidemic in most urban areas in the US, and while a dollar, business card, or meal leftovers bag is great, most aid given is distant and almost passive or anonymous. Check out this video to remind us all that the homeless community consists of interesting, multi-faceted human beings just like us…each person was asked to write down a fact that a passerby would never know just by walking by the sleeping bags under the overpass. Great new perspective!
