Daredevil Walks Across A Tightrope Between Skyscrapers In Chicago!
If you have a fear of heights, now might be a good time to navigate away from this page.
This is the video of Nik Wallenda’s insane, heart-stopping tightrope walks between three downtown Chicago skyscrapers.
On Sunday night, the adrenaline junkie walked between the buildings in two separate trips.
The first was a nearly seven-minute jaunt at a 19-degree incline between the 588-foot-tall Marina Tower West and the 671-foot-tall Leo Burnett building, which led the fearless father-of-three across the Chicago River and two city blocks.
The second section was between two Marina City towers and took him less than a minute to complete. Oh, and he was blindfolded for this leg – as if walking on a tightrope between skyscrapers isn’t enough of a challenge.
The Discovery Channel broadcast Wallenda’s stunt worldwide with a 10-second delay in case the daredevil didn’t make it across. He wasn’t harnessed or supported by a net beneath him, so if he fell, that would have been it.
Luckily, Wallenda claimed success again. Last year, he became the first person to tightrope across the Grand Canyon.
If you think you can make it through the video without your stomach dropping, check out Wallenda’s gravity (and death)-defying stunt up top.
