Incredible Adventurers Are Attempting The World’s Hardest Rock Climb Using Only Their Bare Hands!

Are you afraid of heights? If so, you probably wouldn’t be able to hang out with Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell. Jorgeson and Caldwell are making headlines after committing to one of the toughest climbing tasks of all time: free climbing the 3,000-foot-high Dawn Wall, which is located at the Yosemite National Park in California.

Both daredevils are attached to safety ropes to avoid any tragic repercussions should they fall, but they aren’t using any to aid their ascent. Instead, they’re using their bare hands to scale the incredibly steep mountain wall.

According to the Huffington Post, Jorgeson and Caldwell have already attempted this climb two other times, but failed because it’s almost impossible. Despite that, they’re back at it! They’ve been documenting their journey up the massive rock on their social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram, for about a week now, and they’ve already completed half of their journey.

That’s right, they’ve been sleeping in tents dangling above the ground for about a week. Luckily for them, they have cell phone service and can watch Netflix in their tents during their downtime.

Their greatest struggle has been growing skin back on their fingertips so they can continue their climb. It’s not easy!

As for food, other rock climbers use ropes to ascend the Dawn Wall to drop off supplies. According to The New York Times, deliveries of around 150 pounds of supplies are made every five days.
