Disney’s Tomorrowland Movie Trailer Tells Us To “Imagine A World Where Nothing Is Impossible.” And It Is SO COOL!

So goes George Clooney’s narration in this two-minute teaser for Tomorrowland, the much-anticipated retro-future film written by Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and Damon Lindelof. We get a brief glimpse of Clooney but mostly the trailer focuses Britt Robertson’s character, Casey Newton. In the trailer, Newton is picking up her effects, presumably from a juvenile detention center: a money clip, $47.32, a Florida driver’s license, a magical pin that takes you to some far-off magical world, a NASA baseball cap, and gum.

Other confirmed cast members include Hugh Laurie, Tim McGraw, and Keegan-Michael Key. Today at New York Comic-Con, Disney was promoting the trailer’s debut with a copy of the pin. The project reportedly began back in June 2011. It was originally teased as 1952 before later renaming it.

Tomorrowland — and yes, it’s based at least loosely on the popular mainstay in Disney theme parks — is slated for release May 22, 2015. “Imagine a place where nothing is impossible.”
