The Aiguille du Midi is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. The name “Aiguille du Midi” translates literally as “Needle of the Middle.” The Aiguille summit contains a panoramic viewing platform called “Step into the Void” and it opens to the top of the Aiguille du Midi peak (12,605 feet high). The view is 3,395 feet straight down.
