The most avid and dedicated of How I Met Your Mother aficionados may likely remember how protagonist Ted’s Cleveland heritage opened a lot of doors for the writers to make LeBron jokes in the script from 2010 onward.



Mosby can now get the last laugh among his fictional peers, not to mention the entire real life population of Cleveland. Many Redditors were even disappointed that this had to happen after the show had concluded (the groundbreaking resurgence of sports in Ted’s hometown would have overlapped with Tracy’s first pregnancy and their original wedding plans.)
