Watching This 19-Year-Old Solve A Rubik’s Cube Will Absolutely Blow Your Mind!

I have solved a Rubik’s cube one time in my entire life (and I’m using the term “solved” very loosely here). Several years ago, I started playing with my younger brother’s Rubik’s cube, in hopes that I would somehow discover a long-lost talent for solving the difficult puzzles. I left my brother’s room for a little while and came back with a completely “solved” Rubik’s cube. My brother literally could not believe his eyes and begged me to tell him the trick. I decided that I couldn’t lie to him and instead told him the truth: I had removed every single sticker from the surface of the cube and replaced it to make it look as though I had completed the cube. Needless to say, my brother was not impressed.

Earlier this week, 19-year-old Australian Feliks Zemdegs didn’t need to remove any colored stickers to win the 2015 Rubik’s Cube World Championship in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Instead he used his incredible skills to solve the cube in less than 6 seconds! (It was 5.695 seconds, to be exact.) I cannot even fathom the amount of practice that it takes to be able to think and move so quickly. Check out the pure awesomeness in the video below! The video includes several of Zemdegs’s amazing solves, including his 5.695 winning time!
